Ferry Marsh

Great to see Ferry Marsh looking so good this year - today it was covered in more Common Toadflax than I have ever seen here before - a lovely, and not all that common, plant, good source of late-season nectar, and foodplant for Toadflax Brocade moths, among others. I am sure this reflects, at least in part, the excellent efforts of Richard Moulson and his merry band of volunteers who toil so the rest of us (including, and perhaps especially, the wildlife) can enjoy the fruits of their efforts. Thanks!

  • Still very wet at the moment too, so lots of small frogs moving around under cover of the luxuriant grass cover...  :)
