An autumn walk in Wivenhoe Wood

The last knockings of summer today, as the sun peeped out and lifted the temperatures enough for a few insects and other beasties to emerge and bask. But given the ongoing drought conditions, with no real rain since July, the autumnal fungi are still making a poor show.
