Poetry Wivenhoe, 24th February
  • Some news of the next Poetry Wivenhoe evening, taking place at the Greyhound on Thursday 24th, 7pm:

    On Thursday 24 February at 8pm in the Greyhound, we’re delighted to have the winner of this year’s national Geoffrey Dearmer Prize taking the prime spot.  This prize is awarded to the most promising newcomer.  KIM MOORE is a rising poetry star, frequently published in The Poetry Review, and is currently working on her first collection.  Kim’s work has also appeared in a host of other national poetry magazines including the TLS, Staple, Iota, Brittle Star, Interpreter’s House, The Frogmore Papers and Mslexia.
  • Details of the Wivenhoe Poetry Prize  2011 now available from the Wivenhoe Bookshop (or you can download the application form from poetrywivenhoe.org.)  £200 for the winner, £150 - runner-up, £100 third place and five £10 book tokens.  Closing date Saturday 30 April.
