So, I was chatting to Rod the Fish today who was moored up, reluctant to even try for a profitable haul, such is the price of fuel and the paucity of fish, not to mention other overheads of getting the fish to market...

So, are there enough people on the forum who think we should make it possible to buy fish straight from him and not be too fussy about how we want it packed? I think Rod would be keen to get this going again as he used to. Surely it ought to be possible for us to work out the tide times and meet him straight off the boat?

Who would be keen to keep it local and reduce the carbon footprint?

For the past three years I have been a member of a business networking organisation that meets each Tuesday morning at The Colchester Golf Club, Braiswick. All sorts of trades are represented at our meetings, including several from Wivenhoe and Alresford.

Local businesses are invited to join us for a Business Networking Breakfast where you will have the chance to meet many other local business people who may be able to refer work to you.
You will get an opportunity to present your products / services at the meeting and you will need to bring plenty of business cards to make sure everyone there gets a card.

Breakfast is provided, which will cost £10.00. The networking will start at 6.30 am and will be finished by 8.30am.
